THIS
PAGE IS A STEP-BY-STEP DIAGRAM SEQUENCE OF WHAT IS SHOWN IN THE FINISHED DIAGRAM, "FULL LUAS NETWORK FOR DUBLIN",
WHICH IS ON THE 'NEXT PAGE' ON THE NAVIGATION BAR AT THE LEFT-SIDE OF THIS PAGE. WHAT WE SHOW IS HOW WE SEE THE LUAS GROWING
STAGE BY STAGE OR STEP-BY-STEP AS THE LUAS DEVELOPS.
STEP ONE:- Shows the
existing RED and GREEN Lines as operating presently (2010).
STEP 2:-
Links up the RED and GREEN Lines in the City Centre as an ORBITAL ROUTE taking users within
walking distance of all areas of the City Centre. At present it is easy to get into the City Centre but difficult to get around
it. This is the most important element of our Luas Plan.
STEP 3:-LINE A METRO WEST LUAS - Linking from the CITY ORBITAL LINE
through Heuston Station along Con Colbert Road to Liffey Valley. Linking Lucan, Clondlakin, and Blanchardstown to each other
and to the City Centre.
STEP
4:-LINE B METRO NORTH
LUAS - From City Centre via Broadstone (disused rail line) to Finglas, Ballymun, Airport and Swords.
STEP
5:-LINES C and
D An EXPRESS LUAS Line through the Port Tunnel and a LUAS Line from the ORBITAL Line at Baggot
Street via the RDS and UCD. This section can be done initially by a new concept called "THE LUASBUS".
THIS PLAN ALLOWS LUAS TO LINK UP ALL AREAS OF DUBLIN DIRECTLY TOGETHER ON A STEP-BY-STEP BASIS.
iT AVOIDS UNNECESSARY MOVEMENTS TO THE CITY CENTRE, MINIMIZING THE NUMBER OF LINES REQUIRED AND MAXIMIZING LAND USE.THE GREEN
DOTS ON THE MAP SHOWS WHERE THE LUAS LINES LINK UP WITH MAINLAND RAIL. THIS PLAN ALLOWS FULL INTEGRATION BETWEEN BUS, RAIL
AND LUAS. CONTACT TOM NEWTON @086 3127364 or EMAIL Tom at circletransport@gmail.com.
